Bevin Adams | Editor-in-Chief
Bevin Adams is a third-year Global Studies and Sociology major from Holly Springs, North Carolina. Within her Global Studies major, she is concentrating in Transnational Cultures, Arts, and Identities within Asia. This is Bevin’s third year working with JFAC, having worked as a staff editor and a managing editor before becoming Editor-in-Chief. Outside of JFAC, she is involved with Moonlight Dance Crew, the Global Studies Student Association, and UNC’s Model UN Conferences. Bevin hopes to pursue a career in public diplomacy and cultural affairs after graduation. In her free time, she likes to read contemporary fiction, try new styles of dance, and go to concerts.
Jemimah Byangu| Executive Editor
Jemimah is a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Business. She is passionate about international relations, foreign policy, history, and politics, with a strong focus on pursuing a career in law. She has worked with JFAC since her freshman year of college and enjoys the collaboration and community she has found. Outside of JFAC, she is involved with the NC Fellows Program, Tarheel Table, the NC Conservation Network, and more. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing/editing, volunteering at her church and for different causes, as well as hanging out with others.
Daniela Paris | Digital Editor
Daniela Paris is a third-year Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense student at UNC-Chapel Hill. She enjoys learning about foreign affairs, reading about foreign affairs, and most importantly, writing about foreign affairs, with focuses on post-conflict resolution and stabilization as well as the Balkans and Uganda. Outside of JFAC, Daniela has served on the board for UNC Women in National Security, where she facilitated connections between students and national security professionals. In her spare time, she enjoys climbing and going on walks with her friends.
Chloe Russell | Head Design Editor
Chloe Russell is a UNC senior double majoring in Hispanic Studies and Global Studies with a concentration in International Politics. This is her third year working on the design team for JFAC. Outside of the journal, she is involved in other organizations on campus such as the Transatlantic Forum for Education and Diplomacy and the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law Fraternity. After graduating, Chloe is interested in pursuing a career in law, international relations, or foreign policy.
Alix de Saint-Aignan | Managing Editor
Alix de Saint-Aignan is a third-year Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense Major from Boston, Massachusetts. Within these majors, she specializes in International Security and is interested in open-source research and analysis to protect the United States. This is her second year with JFAC, having worked as a staff editor last semester. Her time away from JFAC is spent largely with the UNC Women’s Rowing Team or the US National Team in the summers. Beyond athletics, she is an editor for the Undergraduate Law Journal and conducts research with the National Counterterrorism Center. Her hobbies include a lot of rowing, reading, and petting dogs!
Sahra Rajnai | Managing Editor
Sahra is a senior from Vancouver in Canada. She is majoring in Public Policy with minors in Conflict Management and Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE). She is interested in pursuing a career in international development and has completed internships in the field in both D.C. and South Africa. Sahra was a staff editor for JFAC for a year and is excited to continue to work with the organization as a managing editor. Outside of JFAC, she is the chairperson of the Carolina Union Board of Directors, the President of Women in Public Policy (WIPP) and on the executive team of Easing Abroad Students’ Entry (EASE). Some of her hobbies include traveling and cooking.
Janie Carpenter | Managing Editor
Janie Carpenter is a third-year Economics and Global Studies major from Greensboro, North Carolina, with a minor in Hispanic Studies. Within her Global Studies major, she is concentrating in International Politics, Nation-States, and Social Movements in Europe. This is her second year working with JFAC. She previously worked as a staff editor for two semesters. Outside of JFAC, she is involved in the UNC Honor System and the Rho chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
